Digital Durgesh: Hi Mishal, It’s really great to have you here. Please share a bit about you and how you get into blogging?
Hello Durgesh, Firstly Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to get featured in your blog. It is a matter of great pleasure to me that today I am going to share my blogging knowledge on your blog.
Hi friends, I’m Mishal Soni, a full-time blogger and affiliate marketer at bloggingexcel.com, I blogs about blogging, SEO, affiliate marketing, and how to make money online.
I’ve been blogging for more than 3 years, in the beginning, I got a lot of unsuccess, but after a lot of learning and unsuccessful blog, I got to know which strategies work well. After learning a lot, I thought that I should share my knowledge with other people, and then this is how this blog started.
As far as concerned about getting into blogging, this story is very interesting.
I’m a Master’s Degree holder. After completing my college, I tried hard to get a good government job but was unsuccessful every time. Since I am from a small village, and even today, government jobs are given first priority in our society even if the job is that of a night watchman, I have done many diplomas, participated in many eligibility tests, but every time failed.
Since my childhood, I was very interested in the medical field. While doing college, I did a 2-year diploma course in the field of paramedical. And then, I sat for the Government Eligibility Test, in which my result was at the top, but after counseling, all the rules for this job were changed. I did not get a job again.
Although the case for this job is still going on in the High Court, But rarely I will do this job. I am not interested now for a govt job.
I was very depressed at that time because of not getting a job, and I could not understand what to do. I started spending my time watching videos on the Internet. And that’s where I came to know about blogging. I learned that I could earn a lot of money from here.
And then I picked up my laptop and get started, initially I got many failures but, after learning a lot, today I am a successful blogger.
That’s all my story.
Digital Durgesh: How has been your blogging journey so far?
Initially, it was not so good, I struggled a lot but now the situation is different. It did not take much time for me to generate my first income, as many bloggers. After 3 to 4 months of starting the blog, I received about $115 from Adsense, but after that, for several months my income was not increased. I tired and closed that blog.
After this, I started and closed many more blogs, I also did many courses, and today I am in a good position. Today, apart from my main blog, I am also running 3 other blogs, from which I am making a decent amount of money.
Digital Durgesh: Is blogging your profession or just a hobby?
Durgesh, initially, it was just a way of making money for me, but gradually it has become my passion. Today I am a full-time blogger, and I enjoy doing it, today I do not care that how can I make more money, I just think about how can I give more knowledge to my audience.
I can say I love to do blogging.
Digital Durgesh: How much time do you spend blogging?
Being a full-time blogger, I spend most of my time in front of the computer, I have also made my daily routine, but I can not follow it well more than a week. I do blogging whenever I get time. By the way, the daily routine I have created is something like this-
- 6:30 – Wake up
- 6:30 – 7:30 – Morning Walk and some exercise.
- 7:30 – 8:30 – Take bath and breakfast
- 8:30 – 9:00 – Social Media time
- 9:00 – 2:00 – Work
- 2:00 – 3:00 – Lunch with family while watching TV
- 3:00 – 4:00 – One small afternoon Nap
- 4:00 – 8:30 – Work
- 8:30 – 10:30 – Family time and dinner.
- 10:30 – 12:00 – Work
- 12:00 – Sleep
Digital Durgesh: Apart from blogging, what else did you do in your career?
Well, I don’t do anything besides blogging, I consider this as my career. Yes, besides this, I also do some little work like designing WordPress blogs for clients, and some other clients’ project which generates some extra money for me.
Digital Durgesh: How many blogs do you have? And how do you manage them?
Well, I am running a total of 4 blogs right now, in which the first one is Blogging Excel, which is my main blog, and the other one is on the traditional healthcare niche.
And the other two are not doing so well right now, the reason is that I am not able to give them enough time right now.
As far as managing them is concerned, it’s not that easy, but if you do it smartly, everything is easy for you.
Till a few days ago, I could not understand what to do and what not to do because I had a lot of work at that time, I could not even do other important tasks by looking at the pile of work. Then I thought that I should make a team, because if there is a good team, then the work will be more and faster, and if the work is more, the income will also increase, and I will be able to afford this team.
And now I have a very good team to manage everything, which does all the work for me.
Digital Durgesh: List down the blogging tools that you use and explain why people should use them for their own blogs
This is the right question Durgesh. Many bloggers remain confused about choosing the right blogging tools. If you choose a wrong tool, then it can be very harmful to your blog, it can reduce your page speed one second to even ten.
As a blogging platform, I use WordPress on all of my sites. It is the best platform for all bloggers. WordPress is very easy to use, secure, and the best thing is it is free.
And if I talk about the tools that I use, then I have a long list of tools that I use to keep all my blogging works smoothly.
These are some of the following tools that I use most for my blog:
- Elementor Pro – To design my Blog and Landing pages.
- SEMRush & Ahrefs – For keyword research, Competitor analysis, and for other Off-page SEO works.
- Google Docs & Grammarly – For Writing my blog posts.
- Canva – For creating Graphics.
- Rank Math – for SEO.
- Short Pixel – for compressing my images.
- And the list goes on.
You can see here the full list of tools that I use for blogging.
Digital Durgesh: What are the best ways to drive traffic to a brand new blog?
By the way, there are many ways to get traffic even on a new blog, which you can get good traffic by using it properly. But the advice I give to new bloggers every time is to use social media. From here you can get a lot of traffic, you just need to use social media properly, without doing any spam.
Digital Durgesh: What is that one mistake do you think that most of the bloggers are doing today? And, how to stop?
Yes, this is the right question Durgesh, as far as I have seen, the first biggest mistake beginners do is that they only write content and share it on social media repeatedly without thinking that they want to read your post or not. They do not even think that with whom they are sharing their posts, do they need it, do they have any interest in your topic.
No, this is not a good way to get audiences; this is spamming.
My advice is that they should first see for which people need their article; they should only share the link with them.
The second main thing is that they should join such Facebook or LinkedIn groups, which are related to your blog topic, see the problem of people there, and share the link of your article as a suggestion.
One last but most important thing is, create relationships with other bloggers related to your niche, share their articles, consult with them, because if you are not able to make a good relationship with your seniors, then you will get away from a vast audience size.
Digital Durgesh: What are your Top 3 Income Sources and how you Make Money with them?
As I am an affiliate marketer, obviously the source of my highest income is affiliate marketing, it makes up about 70% of my total income.
Affiliate marketing is love.
If you are a good copywriter and know how to convert your readers into customers, then you will also fall in love with affiliate marketing.
Apart from this, I also do client projects like managing the client’s website, SEO, website designing, etc. which gives me enough side income.
Digital Durgesh: Please give some tips for newbie bloggers who want success in blogging?
I just want to say that blogging is not as easy as it seems if you believe that you can do it, you have the ability to do it only then you should start, but if you want to make huge and quick money, then this industry is not for you at all.
Apart from this, while starting your blog, you should never pay attention to the niche which has more money, but you are not interested a lot. Instead, you should blog on such a niche in which you are interested.
Yes, one more thing, start making blogging friends, because without friends you can’t make your blog popular.
